Carlos Barraza is a resourceful HR Business Partner with experience in the Tech and Fashion industries. Based in New York, New York, he has a proven track record of executing new talent strategies and organizational designs to streamline business areas cross-functionally. With expertise in managing employee engagement, Carlos has contributed to improved attrition rates and successfully instituted new employee performance reviews.
Carlos currently holds the position of Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner, Americas at LVMH since September 2022. In this role, he effectively manages budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans in close collaboration with local and international finance teams, brand leaders, and HR operations teams. He also conducts investigations into policy violations, communicates and interprets HR policies and procedures to employees, and acts as the main point of contact for employee relations across four brands.
During his tenure as Manager, Human Resources Business Partner – Corporate & Retail at Rag & Bone from February 2020 to July 2021, he implemented new onboarding and off-boarding procedures, partnered with senior leadership to create policy documents, and managed HR Training & Development programs.
He has also worked as a People Business Partner Associate & Talent Coordinator at PlayStation, where he supported clients across multiple functions and assisted in resolving HR inquiries.
In 2015, Carlos was selected as a member of Braven, a transformative organization focused on empowering young individuals. During my time with Braven, Carlos gained valuable skills critical to success in the 21st-century workforce, including effective communication, operating and managing, and problem-solving. These achievements culminated in the team winning the prestigious Braven Capstone Challenge and earning first place in a Design Thinking Framework competition at San Jose State University.
