Founding Chicago Site Director | Braven
Jonathan Chaparro is the Founding Site Director for Braven in Chicago. He is a visionary leader focused on people and program management as well as external engagement and committed toward expanding opportunities for those historically disenfranchised. Previously, Jonathan held a variety of roles in talent acquisition, talent development, and outreach for several nonprofit and corporate entities including Teach For America, Noble Network of Charter Schools, ArcelorMittal, and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. A native of Chicago, Jonathan has quickly become a civic and philanthropic leader, having held leadership roles in the auxiliary boards of various nonprofits, including One Million Degrees, KIPP Chicago, and Friends of the Parks. He also partnered with the Chicago office of McKinsey & Company to support their GetSet mentoring program. He is a 2017 Surge Institute Fellowship alum. Most recently, he served on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Rowing Union, the Midwest’s one and only LGBT rowing organization. Jonathan received a bachelor’s from the University of Iowa and master’s from Dominican University.
