Founding Managing Director at the City College of New York | Braven
Lissete Estrada is currently the founding Managing Director of Braven at the City College of New York, where she also graduated with a B.A in International Studies and a concentration in culture and communication in 2016. In her current role, she manages the CCNY program execution team, overseeing the student and volunteer experience, recruitment, and high quality post-graduate outcomes with a strong focus on equity, inclusion and justice. In partnership with the Executive Director of New York City and the New Sites team, she has worked in setting scalable and sustainable programmatic expansion for Braven at City College, which will serve 3,750 students over the next five years. Before launching Braven at her Alma mater, Lissete led programming in various roles at Braven Rutgers-Newark where she served over 1200 students and hundreds of volunteers. She has led training and ongoing coaching & professional development for Braven’s volunteer leadership coaches, generally mid-level professionals from all sectors, to support their weekly Fellow facilitation and build their own managerial skills. Lissete was born and raised in New York City. She is a product of the NYC public school system, a first generation college graduate, and a proud daughter of Colombian immigrants. All of this has helped develop her unwavering commitment to empowering others and increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
