Program Manager, National Louis University and Braven X | Braven
Mariela Jasso is currently a program manager for Braven at National Louis University. In her role, she oversees the Fellow and volunteer experience to drive programmatic outcomes. In her work, she empowers underrepresented, first-generation college students, students from low-income backgrounds, and students of color—with the skills, confidence, experiences, and networks necessary to transition from college to strong first jobs. Before her time at Braven, she was a graduate student at Northern Illinois University where she earned her Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs. She is a proud first-generation daughter of Mexican immigrants and that has shaped her career with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
