Matthew Baird is a senior staff economist at LinkedIn’s Economic Graph Research Institute, where he leads the equity research program. His research focuses on using econometric methodology and economic modeling to infer causal relationships and evaluate policy in labor and human capital development, with particular attention towards increasing equity. Prior to LinkedIn, he worked at the RAND Corporation researching labor and education policy, where he also directed the Center for Causal Inference. Dr. Baird is also a professor of policy analysis at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and received his Ph.D. in economics at the University of California, Los Angeles.
